This project is an extension to a Design and Technology studio, conceived to accommodate both formal and informal modes of interaction. The space integrates meeting areas, relaxed lounging zones, phone booths, and a compact coffee counter, creating a flexible environment that supports collaboration as well as individual work.
The design reflects the client’s preference for a raw and natural aesthetic, redefining the studio’s brand identity through a restrained material palette. The existing cement flooring is retained to preserve the industrial character, while wooden partitions introduce warmth and texture, resulting in a balanced fusion of industrial and Scandinavian design sensibilities. Full-height glass partitions are strategically incorporated to promote transparency, visual connectivity, and interaction. Additionally, these glazed surfaces help maximize the distribution of light into interior meeting rooms, addressing the limited availability of natural daylight and enhancing the overall spatial openness.
